Electronics Engineer
The Electronic Engineer will be responsible for product development and support of the company’s welder and marking Systems. The individual will design and develop new laser control systems as well as update and maintain existing systems. The individual must have team leadership skills as well as be able to work as a member of a team. The individual will work with and support Customers, Sales, Application Engineering, Engineering and the Manufacturing departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Become an expert on the company’s laser control systems.
- Understand and support the application of the company’s laser systems.
- Select and qualify components and suppliers and provide supplier support.
- Make recommendations on technologies to be applied to products.
- Develop, Design, Prototype and Test various types of laser control systems and sub systems.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other engineering team members in developing products, to ensure efficient production methods, manufacturability, serviceability, reliability and uniformity across product lines
- Support customers in use of the company’s automation and control systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years minimum strong hands on experience in electronic engineering.
- Experience with Orcad schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Embedded micro-controller based products design and programming.
- Ability to program in Visual Basic or C++ a plus.
- Stepper motor motion control system experience a plus.
- Have an understanding of laser electronics a plus
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Be a team player able to work with and support other departments and interact positively with customer and suppliers.
- To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have significant experience in the design, development and manufacturing of electrical control systems.
EDUCATION
Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Drivers License and clean MVR record & BCI record is required.

Must be able to lift and move equipment (lift up to 50 lbs). WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primary work is in an office and lab environment. Travel is required to visit customers, visit suppliers and industry shows both domestically and overseas.
