Micro Technology
“The laser welding system has been great for getting down into deep ribs, on engraving, parting line edges, or on thin or very small pieces where the excess heat of a Micro-GTA weld would have been too great. On highly polished lens molds, polishers rave about the laser welding system because it reduces the amount of handwork required and sink lines are almost non-existent. ”

Laser Welding & Laser Marking
Micro Technology Applications
LaserStar offers a wide range of laser welding and laser engraving technologies to enhance the ability to provide the highest level of quality, craftsmanship and service. Below is a brief summary of our laser welding, laser marking, and laser engraving application capabilities.
- Spot/Seam Welding
- Marking & Engraving

Laser Welding - Micro Technologies
Laser Spot Welding/Laser Seam Welding
LaserStar’s pulse lasers are electronically compatible and ideal for voltage sensitive applications. Precision automated or manual laser welding construction can be performed on electronic/industrial components with a high degree of accuracy, while eliminating the potential hazards of heat damage or thermal stress to complex manufacturing materials. Laser welding also ensures a longer life of the component parts.
Common laser spot welding or laser seam welding applications include tool and die repair, complex electronic components, high-precision industrial assemblies, pressure-sensitive hermetic seals, and other unique applications for the automotive, aerospace, aviation, computer, medical device and consumer product industries.

Laser Marking/Laser Engraving Machines
Micro Technologies
LaserStar’s laser marking and laser engraving machines are a fast and clean technology that is rapidly replacing older laser technologies.
Direct laser marking has now become a common process in the micro component marketplace. It offers a non-contact, abrasion-resistant, permanent laser mark onto almost any type of material. High speed, high precision, micro-marking and/or engraving of part information, readable alpha-numerics, barcodes or Data-Matrix™, serial numbers, corporate logos, etc. are possible on a wide range of small component parts.
