“We sometimes refer to the old days as the days before the LaserStar Laser Welding Workstation. In the old days, we’d have to risk removing the stone and resetting it. Now we can do the jewelry repairs without the risk of taking the piece apart. It hasn’t replaced the torch on some parts of putting together a piece of jewelry, but I couldn’t imagine having to do any platinum work without the LaserStar Laser Welding Workstation. We’ve eliminated solder seams, discolored joints and the risk of fire coating diamonds. With many of our repair jobs we’ve learned to think out side of the box. We’ve been able to remove porosity out of new merchandise saving the hassles of returning the piece or having the customer without the piece for any length of time. I wouldn’t want to go back to just having the torch. We’re able to do things now we can only wish the torch would be able to do.”
